The first ever NASCAR Style Race was held at Semo Raceway Saturday Night with karters racing The O’
Reilly 100 competing for the $1325 guaranteed purse along with the regular double point show. The 100
lap race was the first race of this type held at Semo, but it will probably not be the last since it was a crowd
pleaser for all who participated and the fans as well. Racers were required to change oil in the motor one
time during the 100 laps, and they were restricted to 32 ounces of fuel per pit stop, so pit stops played a
strategic part of determining the winner. The 100 lap race was raced entirely with only 2 cautions and was
finished in 33 minutes on the 1/5 mile dirt clay oval.
The top winner of the O’Reilly 100 was the #16 kart of David Taylor from Billings, MO taking home the
$500 top prize along with the 3 foot Trophy.
Jason Randolph of Metropolis, IL took 2nd spot, Robert Lowery of Paducah, KY took 3rd, Brandon Fritsche
of New Athens, IL taking 4th, and Carey Moore of Atoka, TN taking 5th place.
In the regular show at Semo Saturday night, Tom Roslen of Morley took the checkered flag victory in the
Stock Heavy Class , holding the kart of Robert Lowery of Paducah to a 2nd place finish, and the kart of

lap, holding the kart of Brandon Fritsche to a 2nd place finish and Abe Martin of Vienna to a 3rd place
finish. The Stock Light was won by Joseph Leister of Olive Branch with Michael Grant finishing 2nd. The
Over 35 Class was won by Derek Riley of Calvert City, with Tom Roslen finishing in 2nd and Roger
